Office Temping Jobs 10 of the Best Paid Temping Job Areas

April 15th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Main Content, Temping Agencies

Office temping jobs are very varied, which means that many are low paid, many are reasonably well paid and some are pretty well paid, particularly for temping jobs. But what are these jobs?

Well basically the more skilled you are, then the more chances you have of getting a well paid temping job. So if you are a Business manager, a Systems Analyst or some kind of IT specialist, then you can expect to earn some pretty good money for being a temp. Most IT jobs pay well, so long as you have the necessary skills and experience.

HR jobs, such as specialist advisers, occupational health advisers or recruitment consultants also offer good rates of remuneration. Then there are jobs in finance, which may not pay the mega bucks that they did a few years ago, but are still well paid. Or if you are a legal secretary or medical secretary, then there is also good money to be made.

Towards the bottom of the well paid temping jobs list there are some rather less savoury jobs. If you are willing to deal with irate members of the public then you may well consider taking a specific job in a complaints section of customer care, dealing with people who are less than satisfied with the service that they have received. But beware, this is not for the faint hearted and you will need to be quite strong to deal with some of the people that you will encounter.

Finally, the 10th best paid temping jobs can be in tele-sales, but usually this depends on how good you are: if you are good then it will be easy money: if you are not so good then you will struggle, but there are decent salaries to be made.

So not all temping jobs are poorly paid and you could be looking at a salary in excess of £45 k a year if you have the right skills and the right job comes up!

Temporary Jobs in The UK: Will I find One? My friend Just Lost Hers!

April 27th, 2009 by admin | 4 Comments | Filed in Temporary Jobs London

In the UK today there are lots of temporary jobs still available.  Companies and organisations will always have a need for permanent staff, simply because there are times when they need extra staff to cover for times when staff are off on maternity or paternity cover, staff may be ill, or at holiday times.

Some organisations even require staff just for busy times: so if your business is absolutely frantic at Christmas or Easter, then temporary staff will be taken on to get companies through these very difficult times.  So you shouldn’t assume that there are simply no jobs out there.

People are losing their jobs, but many, many people still have work.  And so there are admin jobs around, you may just have to look that little bit harder to ensure that you can secure a job that really suits your needs.

One of the best ways to get started is actually to register with a recruitment agency, so that you start to get a flavour of the type of jobs that are available.  The range of opportunities may be more limited, but you will probably find work without too much difficulty, if you sign up with a reputable agency that has some good recruitment consultants on board.  They can show you the vacancies they have and also advise on how you can secure a position.

On the whole, the UK media like to talk everything down and certainly media reports do make everyone think that there are no jobs to be had: but there area and all you have to do is to make sure that you are qualified, presentable and have a good attitude when you turn up to interview: so that you are the person who bags the job- not someone else!
